OAASC members, ASC non-members or companies that work with Ambulatory Surgery Centers in Ohio join us for Ohio's only conference dedicated to ambulatory surgery centers.  We address ALL the issues important to your center and especially focus on those concerns that impact you as an Ohio ASC professional.  There continue to be significant changes in ASC licensure in Ohio.  Our conference will address all of those changes and then some.

On September 19 as a part of our pre-conference, we will host a comprehensive pre-conference infection prevention training for ASC IP professional (remember, you need annual training to meet CMS requirement).  Every ASC in Ohio (not just Medicare certified centers) must have a dedicated infection prevention staff person who receives ongoing training and provides in-service training to other staff.  This IP training will meet that requirement. And if you attend this as a part of the conference there is a discount.

OAASC 2017 Infection Prevention Pre-Conference ONLY

Join your ASC Colleagues from around Ohio for the premier state ASC conference in the Midwest.  September 19-21.

Infection Prevention Training for ASCs

Full Day Pre-conference Session Sept 19

What are the top three ASC citations issued by the Ohio Department of Health and CMS …infection prevention, infection prevention, infection prevention!

The lack of appropriate infection prevention plans, protocols, or safeguards have impacted 75 percent of surveyed ASCs over the past two years. As a result, inspectors are doubling their efforts to ensure ASCs are meeting requirements with a highly effective infection prevention program!

Are you and your center establishing acceptable protocols for patient safety, appropriately addressing any occurrences, developing an employee IP protocol to reduce cross staff-patient contaminations, attending annual ongoing training or providing appropriate in-service trainings?

Our four hour pre-conference session on Sept.19 from 9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. in advance of the OAASC annual multidisciplinary conference will cover the multitude of issues and concerns facing ASC professionals on a wide range of infection prevention topics.

Attendance will meet CMS and ODH requirements for infection prevention continuing
education. All participants will receive a certificate of participation, information for
in-service training and continuing education.

You will go home with all the resources you need to meet CDC, CMS and ODH requirements (and most importantly the highest quality of care for your patients) for infection prevention in your center.

Sept 19 2:30 - 3:30 - No Cost for Anyone attending the Preconference Session AND/OR Any Portion of the Regular Conference

We will have three individual one-hour sessions for the top three ASC accrediting bodies at no charge for individuals attending the IP session earlier in the day and/or the main conference starting the next day. Hear from our experts on the latest changes to accreditation standards and the what to expect at your next survey.
